Top of the range Primitivo, produced from 100% primitivo grapes grown in the hot and sunny vineyards surrounding the cellar of Castello Monaci, ages for 6 months in small oak casks and for 6 months in large barrels, and develops for a further 6 months in bottle. It has a bright, deep, ruby red colour, a very pronounced and complex bouquet with strong hints of fruits of the forest in perfect balance with sweet balsamic notes and spicy aromas. The flavour is full, warm, gentle and very pervasive, with soft and elegant tannins.
